Khus attar
Khus attar is commonly known as “Oil of Tranquility” or Khus perfume. This perfume oil is derived through hydro distillation process from the dried or soaked vetiver grass. Since antiquity, dried or soaked roots and grass of vetiver are used to cover the side panels of water based room and window coolers, as it cools the ambience and fragrance to moist air. Apart from cooling and scenting, vetiver grass is used as curtains on windows and doors to keep insects at bay.
