It is an orange yellow clear viscous obtained from the flowers of Rose Centifolia by the process of Carbon dioxide (CO2) extraction method. Rose Centifolia is also known by various names such as Provence Rose or Cabbage Rose or Rose de Mai is a hybrid rose developed by Dutch rose breeders during the period b/w 17th century and the 19th century. Most of its flowers are usually pink in color while in rare case some of them are dark red-purple in color. It is a complex hybrid breed from Rosa damascena, Rosa moschata & Rosa gallica. The plant of Rose Centifolia grows up to the height of 1.5–2 m tall, with greyish green pinnate leaves.
